McDonald's is ready to partner with the girl group NewJeans for a special campaign in 10 different regions across Asia! Quoting from Soompi media on Friday May 26, 2023, McDonald's officially announced that it would launch the "NewJeans Chicken Dance Campaign ".
The plan for a campaign with this rookie girl group will be launched starting next month. This campaign will involve special advertisements featuring the girl group NewJeans in 10 Asian regions, including Indonesia which is not left behind.
Not only that, McDonald's also added that there will be specially designed packaging where later the packaging is specific to certain chicken menu items offered in each country (varies from one region to another). This global campaign with NewJeans will start with an initial campaign in South Korea on June 1, 2023.
Finished with South Korea, this collaborative campaign will then continue in the Philippines (June 13, 2023), Thailand (June 28, 2023), Indonesia (June 12, 2023) , Brunei (September 1, 2023), Malaysia (September 7, 2023), Hong Kong (October 24, 2023), Taiwan (September 25, 2023), Singapore and Vietnam whose dates have yet to be determined. In addition to the global campaign, in South Korea there will be a launch of a new menu item.
The menu is of course a special menu since when McDonald's hooked NewJeans as its brand ambassador. McDonald's also expressed their enthusiasm for the campaign with NewJeans this time. A spokesperson for McDonald's Korea also commented, “This campaign, led by McDonald's Korea, will be enjoyed by customers in 10 different regions across Asia.
We are very happy, because we thought it could be a special memory.” McDonald's also added, “ Through events such as the dance challenge with NewJeans, we will do our best to make this campaign a success so that customers in various markets can enjoy new and unique experiences.”
Meanwhile, the idol group from South Korea, NewJeans, is currently busy preparing for their latest album comeback. They will definitely make a comeback and enliven this summer with their song. This news follows reports that NewJeans is preparing a pre-release song that is scheduled for July 7, 2023 and will be releasing a new album in the same month.
