BLACKPINK's Jennie just released a photo for her latest single 'Mantra'. The photo concept has sparked controversy and body shaming. In the photo uploaded on X, Jennie looks sexy wearing a tight t-shirt and shorts. Her hair looks loose and styled in waves.

Many fans were enthusiastic about the release, but many responded negatively. Many considered the photo concept unattractive, while others commented on her body. Most netizens who are against it highlighted Jennie's stomach.

Many criticized the angle, the choice of pose, and even commented that the photo should have been edited before being released. This 28-year-old woman was also the target of body shaming, some said her stomach was bloated, bloated, and even looked like she was pregnant.

"She looks like she's pregnant (who's the father? G-dragon, Teddy oppa or TG ceo?)," commented one user X. "She needs the Ck (Calvin Klein) team to photoshop that bloated belly," tweeted another netizen.

"Why did they choose this photo? The angle is so bad," another netizen wrote. Meanwhile, Jennie's fans immediately moved to defend her: "The comments are absolutely disgusting... Women's body standards have been so corrupted that a healthy, normal body is called 'fat'??" defended a pro netizen.

"I'm sure some of you have never seen a woman's body or studied female anatomy because what's the point of a 'she looks pregnant' girl who has a normal body?" another netizen protested.

As is known, Jennie BLACKPINK released her first single, Mantra under Sony Music Entertainment. The video for 'Mantra' premiered on the official YouTube channel @JENNIE on Friday October 11, 2024.
