Calvin Klein has just held a launch party for their newest product collection with BLACKPINK's Jennie in South Korea. The event, which was successfully attended by influencers and a number of top artists, successfully drew public and media attention with the charming appearance of BLACKPINK's Jennie while attending the launch party.

A number of top celebrities also appeared to be present to enliven the event. However, despite the success of the launch event, Calvin Klein received protests and angered a number of press colleagues who were also invited to attend.

Quoting from Koreaboo on Friday May 12, 2023, although attended by a number of top celebrities and inviting around 60 reporters, Calvin Klein held the event at a pop-up store located in the Seongsu-dong area. The building is located in a narrow street that is not able to accommodate many visitors.

As many as 60 local reporters joined the event, but only 10 reporters got a place, and the rest were given to foreign media reporters. The press criticized the lack of careful planning on the part of Calvin Klein himself, for not being able to provide an adequate venue even though they had invited many reporters.

Apart from that, the press also revealed that they did not have the opportunity to get photos of some of the celebrities who attended. It's also difficult for them to get photos of Jennie herself or other big names like Lee Hyori and many more. Jennie was also reported to have left the event early, having been there for approximately two hours.

This of course made a number of reporters present feel very disappointed. Even though it was Calvin Klein himself who invited them to cover the product launch event for the collection with BLACKPINK's Jennie. However, due to inadequate site planning, a number of reporters returned empty-handed because they did not get satisfactory pictures of the publication.

The launch party wasn't the only one being criticized by the Korean media for poor planning. Louis Vuitton's pre-fall show, held at Jamsu Bridge in Hangang on April 29, 2023, was also criticized for not thinking about the potential for high winds and large crowds. In fact, traffic control and crowds are worse because they are held in a public place in Hangang.
