Some time ago, BLACKPINK's Jisoo shocked her fans because he suddenly tested positive for COVID-19 . Jisoo was forced to take a complete break and be absent from all activities in the entertainment world, including his concert tour activities in Osaka with BLACKPINK.

The fans were disappointed, but they understood the situation. They also wish BLACKPINK's Jisoo a speedy recovery so he can return to her normal activities. On June 7, 2023 local time, Jisoo made a post on the Weverse fan community to greet her fans. She attached a photo of the beautiful sky in the morning in his upload.

"Blink! What are you doing? I'm much better and healthier now!  This is a sunrise photo I took at my house," Jisoo wrote as quoted from KBIZoom June 7, 2023. On Thursday, June 1, 2023, YG Entertainment gave an official statement announcing Jisoo's COVID-19 diagnosis.

According to YG Entertainment, Jisoo took a self-test on May 30 after experiencing mild flu symptoms. Initially, he tested negative but finally tested positive on June 1, 2023. YG Entertainment also added that Jisoo was determined to continue performing in Osaka because she didn't want the fans to be disappointed, but the conditions were not supportive.

"Jisoo is willing to continue performing and wants to keep her promise to BLACKPINK fans who have been waiting for a long time, but has decided not to participate in the concert for the sake of the artist's health and everyone's safety," YG Entertainment wrote in its official statement.

YG Entertainment and BLACKPINK understand that fans are looking forward to the appearance of the four members at the concert, and express their regrets. "We understand the enthusiasm and the many fans who have been waiting for the performance and will do our best to present the concert as planned.

We respectfully ask for your strong support," added YG Entertainment. The agency promised that they would make their best efforts so that Jisoo could recover soon.  They will do their best to protect the health and safety of their artists.

Therefore, the BLACKPINK concert which was held in Osaka, Japan on June 3 and 4 was only attended by three members, namely Jennie, Lisa and Rose. Although Jisoo was forced to not perform due to being positive for COVID-19, BLACKPINK has finally successfully completed their second Japanese dome tour.
