BLACKPINK's Lisa has made Thai traditional clothing popular and eye-catching among young people. This is inseparable from his figure as one of the most influential K-pop celebrities and idols in the world. Not long ago, Lisa uploaded a photo of herself returning home and visiting ancient sites in Ayutthaya, Thailand.
This 26-year-old rapper appeared in a simple dress but still radiated her beauty. In some of the photos that later went viral, BLACKPINK's maknae is seen wearing a white button-down blouse with a woven tie motif as a bottom. The blouse and cloth turned out to be traditional Thai clothing.
From a photo upload, BLACKPINK's Lisa indirectly helped advance the economy in the area she visited. Thapanee Kiatpaiboon, an executive from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, said sales of the clothes worn by Lisa soared after her social media photos went viral. One of the vendors also thanked the star for helping revive people's interest in traditional Thai clothing.
This of course made his business increase. "Thank you Lisa for wearing traditional clothes and posing in front of the ancient Ayutthaya site, encouraging economic recovery, and inviting tourists to rent Thai clothes when visiting the place," said the vendor owner, as quoted by The Bangkok Post.
The white blouse that Lisa wore came from a local fashion brand called Chanruen and was priced at 1,300 baht or around Rp. 556 thousand. Meanwhile, the cloth worn as a sarong is also from the same brand, sold for 2,800 baht or Rp. 1.2 million.
BLACKPINK's Lisa was also seen carrying a hobo bag from Celine for IDR 38.6 million and a pair of Miu Miu shoes IDR 14.1 million. Even though she appears simple as a whole, her style still looks expensive because of a set of jewelery from the Bulgari collection in the form of earrings, rings and bracelets whose total value reaches IDR 177.5 million.
