NCT's Doyoung recently appeared on JTBC's music program, K-909. On this occasion, he performed a duet stage with renowned music director Justin Hurwitz, who also worked on the music for the film La La Land. Doyoung performed 2 songs namely Gold Dust from NCT 127 and the OST for the La La Land film titled Audition , with live piano accompaniment by Justin Hurwitz. Justin Hurwitz shared, "I'm very happy to be able to collaborate and talk about music with Doyoung. It's great to be able to play the piano while following Doyoung in singing the song Audition ."
He added, "Doyoung sings it so beautifully. He has the talent to sing the song in his own way and make the song his own." Regarding the song Gold Dust from NCT 127 which was performed solo by Doyoung, Justin Hurwitz said that he kept listening to the song while learning the piano chords. The director admitted that he could not forget the song.
He also became a fan of Doyoung because of it. "The vocal layer in the Gold Dust song is very beautiful. I became a fan of Doyoung because of that song. NCT has many beautiful songs," praised Justin Hurwitz. Meanwhile Doyoung expressed his feelings about being able to collaborate with a famous music director like Justin Hurwitz.
The NCT 127 member said that he was very honored to have the opportunity to perform a song with live piano accompaniment from Justin Hurwitz. He also admitted that he was very lucky to be able to sing a song from his favorite movie OST, as well as the NCT 127 song which meant a lot to him. "It is an honor for me to be able to sing with great music directors.
I also feel very happy to be able to perform my favorite OST songs, as well as songs from NCT 127," said Doyoung. Meanwhile, Doyoung has recently shown his charm by presenting more mature music with the debut of his newest unit NCT DoJaeJung last April.
