Recently JYP Entertainment released a photo teaser that read Killin' Me Good, featuring the figure of a woman in a car. ONCE (the name for TWICE fans) made two speculations: between a group comeback or a member's solo debut. Now management confirmed the second thing. Killin' Me Good will be the solo debut of one of TWICE's members, Jihyo.
This solo debut has been anticipated for a long time. Not only because Jihyo is one of TWICE's main vocalists, but also a TWICE member with the longest trainee period at JYP Entertainment. The long wait will finally pay off. JYP Entertainment continues releasing photo teasers for Killin' Me Good.
In the second poster, Jihyo's face is now visible. Still in the car, the camera highlights Jihyo from the dashboard mirror. The member is wearing lipstick. At the bottom of the poster is the month of release of Killin' Me Good. It is not clear whether Killin' Me Good will be a single or mini album. What is certain is that the release of this song will be carried out in August.
Jihyo will be the second TWICE member to debut solo after Nayeon. Previously, Nayeon successfully stole attention with the song Pop! which hit various charts in South Korea last summer. Summer 2023 is Jihyo's time to shine. In 2020, Jihyo celebrated 15 years of joining JYP Entertainment's management.
This solo debut occurred 18 years after the woman who was born on February 1, 1997 was under the auspices of Park Jin Young's agency. Jihyo joined JYP Entertainment at the age of 9. In 2004, he won the Junior Naver Child Acting Star competition and was ranked first. JYP Entertainment was fascinated by the figure of little Jihyo.
The casting team glanced at him and immediately contacted Jihyo's parents to invite Jihyo to join management in 2005. Jihyo has been a trainee for more than 10 years in management. Throughout his trainee period, Jihyo has witnessed the debut of JYP Entertainment girl groups and boy bands such as Wonder Girls, missA, 2PM, 2AM, to GOT7.
