The Korean drama King The Land follows the love story of a conglomerate heir Gu Won (played by Lee Junho) and a new employee of King Hotel, Cheon Sa Rang (played by Yoona). Gu Won was born with a perfect life, but questions the whereabouts of his missing mother. He grew up to be a cold man who rarely smiled. Because when he cries looking for his mother, the people around him actually smile.
Growing up, the wealthy man decided to work as an apprentice at the King Hotel. After one day, Gu Won received a letter from an unknown person containing notes from his mother while working there. On his first day at work, Gu Won meets Cheon Sa Rang who is skilled at making fake smiles.
Despite their initial arguments, Gu Won and Cheon Sa Rang eventually developed a romantic relationship. With 16 episodes, the Korean drama King the Land will air every Saturday and Sunday at 22:30 KST on JTBC replacing the Korean drama Doctor Cha.
