MAMAMOO's Hwasa has officially become part of the P NATION agency which is the agency formed by singer PSY. She signed a contract with his new agency in a quite unique way. On June 30, 2023, Hwasa made a surprise appearance at PSY's concert entitled "SUMMER SWAG 2023" which was held at the Olympic Stadium of Jamsing Sports Complex in Songpa-gu, Seoul.

During the concert, PSY talked with the audience about the agency he founded. "I founded a small agency called P NATION. The company said we had an important contract to sign," said PSY as quoted from Soompi on Saturday July 1, 2023. She further added, "It's very unusual to do this in a concert.

It's something that's happening for the first time in this world. I'm about to sign a contract." After that, a table was suddenly brought onto the stage. PSY asked the audience to wait and explained that the concert had to be temporarily halted because he had to sign such an important contract.

It was later learned that the contract in question was that of MAMAMOO's Hwasa, who was recently in talks to join P NATION's agency after parting ways with his former agency, RBW. Hwasa took the stage and sang her hit song, "Maria", and surprised the audience when she signed her exclusive contract with P NATION on the stage of the concert.

After signing the contract, Hwasa hugged PSY and posed for photos before continuing with her performance. "I just became a member of the P NATION family a few minutes ago. I'm not saying this just for appearances, but I do it in earnest. Everything was decided today," said Hwasa.

Hwasa also said that he had created meaningful memories, then continued to perform with "TWIT" and other MAMAMOO hits.  After that moment, P NATION uploaded an official announcement via SNS to welcome Hwasa joining the agency.

PSY also shared a video of the moment when Hwasa signed a contract with his agency via Instagram. Meanwhile, Hwasa recently left the agency RBW after 9 years together since her debut, and rumors that she will be joining P NATION have been spreading since then.
