Two K-Pop idols are again rumored to be dating because of uploads on social media. This time, the rumors dragged the names NCT's Mark and Oh My Girl's Arin. A number of South Korean forums are busy discussing Arin's posts on Instagram which show him posing as if he is kissing the sun.
This post was in the spotlight after a netizen said a photo with the same concept had been uploaded by NCT's Mark in October 2022. This made the public then call the post both in the form of a 'lovestagram'. This term is often used by netizens when they see two people posting photos with the same code on Instagram.
However, other netizens then highlighted the photo caption written by Arin. "Taken by dad," he wrote in Korean. This then makes the opinions of netizens split into two. Many then called the rumors just making it up. Shortly after the posts of NCT's Mark and Oh My Girl's Arin were widely discussed, the management of the two artists opened their voices.
Both of them denied that there was a special relationship between Mark and Arin. "The news that Mark is dating is not true," said the SM Entertainment representative. "The rumors of Arin dating are not true. The photo in question was taken by Arin's father while they were on a family vacation," said WM Entertainment as Arin's agency.
It is known that NCT's Mark and Oh My Girl's Arin received high school education at the same school. The two are alumni of the School of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA) and are in the same class. Meanwhile, Mark has just made a comeback with NCT 127 by releasing a repackaged album, Ay-Yo. Shortly after its release, the album managed to top a number of South Korean charts.
