Korean drama “ The Deal ” has shared a new look at Kim Dong Hwi in his leading role. “The Deal” is adapted from the popular webtoon with the same title by Woo Nam 20. This drama tells the story of three young men who used to attend the same high school who reunite after a long time.
One day, two of them impulsively decide to kidnap their friend, which leads them down a dark path and unexpected situations. "The Deal" will feature a lineup of young actors as players, namely Yoo Seung Ho, Kim Dong Hwi, Yoo Su Bin, and Lee Joo Young.
Yoo Seung Ho will play Lee Joon Sung, a former great soccer player whose life fell apart after retiring. He was involved in a kidnapping case suggested by his friend. Yoo Su Bin will play Park Min Woo, the kidnapping victim of his two friends, who is the only son of a rich family.
Kim Dong Hwi will star in this drama as Song Jae Hyo, a medical student who is facing personal problems. In order to escape the problem and get 1 billion won, he decides to kidnap his friend, Park Min Woo and plans to get the ransom money.
"Jae Hyo is the character who marks the start of this kidnapping plot," said Kim Dong Hwi as quoted from Soompi on September 17, 2023. He continued, “He started the kidnapping plan solely to receive money, but when he went too far later, it got bigger and bigger out of his control. I think it would be better to focus on this aspect while watching the drama.”
Meanwhile, director Lee Jung Gon praised Kim Dong Hwi and his experience working with the actor on set. “We often exchange ideas on set. He is an actor who, if I give him an idea, will execute it with skill and sophistication,” said the director. Meanwhile, the drama "The Deal" will consist of 8 episodes and will premiere on October 6, 2023.
