The Korean drama 'Vigilante', starring actor Nam Joo Hyuk, recently held a meeting to launch episodes 1 to episode 3 at the Haneul Theater, Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae, Busan. The event was attended by Director Choi Jung Yeol, actors Yoo Ji Tae, Kim So Jin, and Lee Joon Hyuk.

Nam Joo Hyuk himself was unable to attend because he is currently undergoing military service. "Vigilante" is an action thriller drama adapted from the popular webtoon of the same name, telling the story of Kim Ji Yong (played by Nam Joo Hyuk), a police academy student who turns into a dark hero at night to punish criminals.

“Vigilante” was recently officially invited to the “On Screen” section of the 28th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). The audience filled the entire three-story theater and showed great enthusiasm. Nam Joo Hyuk proved his impressive acting skills through the role of a dark hero and an exemplary student at a police university.

The actor perfectly portrayed the two different faces of his character, thus receiving various praises. “I really like Nam Joo Hyuk's eyes. I think there is another meaning deep in his eyes. My prediction was correct. "The actor is actually Kim Ji Yong himself," said Director Choi Jung Yeol as quoted from KBIZoom on October 7, 2023.

It is known that Nam Joo Hyuk expresses his character's deepest pain through actions. Kim Ji Yong's targets are perpetrators who commit crimes without showing respect for their victims. With his tall height and impressive physique, the actor delivers many amazing and cool action scenes.

The audience can feel his furious eyes full of anger, revenge and madness, as he fights criminals who kill children. “I focused on the action scenes because that's what made the original webtoon famous.  Ji Yong's actions vary depending on his opponent's behavior.

There are scenes that focus more on emotion than action. I try to capture such emotions in action scenes. "A better action will be revealed in episode 4," said the director. Meanwhile, the 8-episode “Vigilante” will premiere on Disney+ on November 8, 2023. Don't miss it, OK!
