BLACKPINK's Jisoo kept her promise to donate all profits from her personal YouTube channel to charity. Quoting from Allkpop on Tuesday March 12, 2024, Jisoo recently donated all the profits she earned from YouTube to the charity organization Save the Children.
The donation will be used to create a mangrove forest in the Ca Mau region in Vietnam as part of a mangrove planting project. Volunteers have been working to restore mangrove forests to protect coastal land in the Ca Mau area.
Jisoo opened her YouTube channel in January 2023. The YouTube channel is named "Happiness Jisoo 103%", which can also be translated as "Happiness Index 103%". Currently, the channel has 4.99 million subscribers.
Previously, the owner of the real name Kim Jisoo had stated his intention to donate the money he earned from his YouTube channel. Jisoo said that the money would be donated to places in need, and now this intention has been realized. Meanwhile, Jisoo debuted with BLACKPINK in 2016 under YG Entertainment.
