The animated film Inside Out 2 has just released its latest trailer on Friday March 8, 2024. In the trailer, Inside Out 2 tries to show a number of new emotions in Riley Andersen's character who is starting to grow up.
At first, we will witness a number of old emotions from Riley (Kensington Tallman), starting from Joy (Amy Poehler), Anger (Lewis Back), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Disgust (Liza Lapira), to Fear (Tony Hle). However, as he grew older, Riley began to experience new, more complex emotions, such as Envy, Embarrassment, Ennui, and Anxiety.
Anxiety (Maya Hawke) is a new emotion that has managed to disrupt the emotional headquarters. Anxiety ensures that Riley can face all situations with negative outcomes. Then, there is Ennui (Adèle Exarchopoulos) who makes Riley more indifferent.
Ennui will make Riley apathetic like teenagers in general. Apart from that, there is Envy (Ayo Edebiri) who is always jealous of what other people have. And finally, there is Embarrassment (Paul Walter Hauser) who continues to act humble and shy.
In this latest film, Riley will start the adventure of being a high school student. Along with these new emotions, Riley's life becomes even more full of unexpected adrenaline. The presence of the new Emotions also forced the old Emotions group to remain silent so that Riley would be even more confused.
Inside Out 2 is here after nine years since the premiere of the first film in 2015. In the predecessor film, we will witness Joy and Sadness living in Riley's mind, where the two have to work together so that Riley receives a lot of emotions when settling in his new home.
The success of Inside Out (2015) is evident from the film which immediately received various positive reviews from both critics and audiences. Inside Out (2015) even won a prestigious award at the 2016 Academy Award for the Best Animated Feature category.
On the other hand, the announcement regarding the release of the sequel to Inside Out was first heard in 2022. In Inside Out 2, Kelsey Mann is ready to sit in the director's chair with Meg LeFauve returning as a scriptwriter like in the first film. Inside Out 2 is confirmed to be screened in Indonesian cinemas in June 2024.
