Liam Neeson will star in the latest action thriller film entitled Mongoose. This news was confirmed directly by Deadline media quoted on Thursday May 23, 2024. The story is about Ryan 'Fang' Flanagan, a war hero who is being chased by police across the country because he is accused of a crime he did not commit.
During the chase, friends from his special forces helped and the community began to support him so he could escape from the police safely. Production on Mongoose will begin early next year and they are currently looking for other players to join. Meanwhile, the script will be written by Thompson Evans.
Mark Vanselow will direct the film Mongoose, which is his directorial debut. For nearly 30 years, Mark has worked as a stunt coordinator and has nearly 100 stunt credits. Mark has been involved in such acclaimed projects as Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End , Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and I, Robot.
Mark has also worked with Liam Neeson as second unit director on the films The Ice Road (2021) and Cold Pursuit (2019). Liam Neeson made his film debut in the romantic drama Excalibur back in 1981. The most recent film he starred in was the Irish action thriller In the Land of Saints and Sinners directed by Robert Lorenz, shown at the Venice Film Festival last year. The film stars Liam Neeson in the lead role, alongside other Irish actors such as Kerry Condon, Jack Gleeson, Colm Meaney and Ciarán Hinds.
