SHINee's Taemin made Shawol (SHINee fans) enthusiastic after teasing the possibility of a group comeback in the near future. In a live broadcast via his personal Instagram last night on Sunday May 19, 2024, the main dancer revealed that this album might be released after SHINee held an encore concert on Friday-Sunday, May 24-26, 2024.
"Please look forward to SHINee's new album," he asked, according to the translation quoted from Instagram @m_prize_shinee9013. Furthermore, SHINee will soon celebrate their 16th debut anniversary on May 25, 2024. Simultaneously, Onew, Key, Minho, and Taemin will hold an encore concert entitled "SHINee World VI 7 [Perfect Illumination SHINee's Back]".
This concert was also Onew's first concert with SHINee after 8 years. Because in 2023 he went on hiatus due to illness and was forced to be absent from all of his group's scheduled activities. So this moment was certainly very memorable for both SHINee and Shawol.
On the other hand, apart from concerts, previously SM Entertainment also leaked information about SHINee's comeback schedule this year. Initially the album was expected to be released in the second quarter of 2024.
However, after that, this schedule disappeared. Not long ago, the mini album appeared again on SM's agenda this year. It appeared, then disappeared and then reappeared, making many fans confused about the idol's comeback schedule made by SM this year.
However, with Taemin's little spoiler last night, fans are once again hoping that SHINee will actually return with a new album this year. Previously, they released their 8th full album entitled "Hard" on June 26, 2023, marking their 15th golden age. This album also received a lot of positive reactions from many circles.
Not only that, SHINee doesn't even hesitate to prove its existence among the 4th and 5th generation idols. The idol, who debuted in 2008, not only broke their personal record, but also won 5 trophies on the weekly music program and won 'Stage of the Year' at the Melon Music Ward 2023 event.
