The latest Korean film entitled ' Hijacking ' has unveiled a thrilling new poster and trailer ahead of its release. 'Hijacking' tells the story of the terrible situation when a passenger plane was hijacked in Korean airspace in 1971. This film stars Ha Jung Woo, Yeo Jin Goo, Sung Dong Il, and Chae Soo Bin.

The newly released poster shows the intense moment when hijacker Yong Dae (Yeo Jin Goo) points a gun at co-pilot Tae In (Ha Jung Woo). In the background, Captain Gyu Sik (Sung Dong Il) watches anxiously and blood drips from his forehead, while Ok Soon (Chae Soo Bin), the only flight attendant on the plane, looks terrified.

Yong Dae's cold and menacing gaze exudes an air of authority while Tae In seems very thoughtful about his next steps to ensure the safety of passengers. The tagline “ A passenger with a different destination has boarded the plane ” suggests conflicting goals. Yong Dae wants to leave for North Korea, while the plane crew tries to protect the passengers.

Furthermore, the released trailer further immerses viewers in a high-stakes atmosphere, both inside and outside the plane. The film begins with scenes of busy Sokcho Airport in 1971, depicting an era when passengers rushed to get seats on a "first come, first serve" basis, as there was no system for assigning seats on planes.

The peaceful flight quickly turns into chaos when Yong Dae's homemade bomb disturbs the peace. He then issues a forced order to divert the plane to North Korea, while Tae In grapples with the controls, trying to protect the passengers. The tension increases when the fighter jet chases the plane that goes off course, adding a thrilling element to this film that will keep the audience immersed in the storyline.

In the trailer the phrase, “ Everyone on this flight risked their lives ” appears, showing each character's efforts and struggle to survive, increasing curiosity about the plane's ultimate fate. This film will show another side of Yeo Jin Goo who plays the villain, adding to the anticipation for this film. The film 'Hijacking' will be released in cinemas on June 21, 2024.
