BLACKPINK's Rosé officially joins YG Entertainment's subsidiary, THEBLACKLABEL !Previously on June 17, 2024, NEWSEN reported that Rosé would sign an exclusive contract with THEBLACKLABEL which was founded by producer Teddy.
Responding to the report, THEBLACKLABEL briefly stated, "We are discussing signing an [exclusive] contract with Rosé." Then on June 18, 2024, THEBLACKLABEL officially announced that Rosé had signed an exclusive contract with them and was now preparing to greet global fans with new music.
Teddy produced many of BLACKPINK's hit songs since the girl group's debut single 'Square One'. THEBLACKLABEL is currently home to many artists including BIGBANG's Taeyang, Jeon Somi, and Zion.T as well as actors Park Bo Gum and Lee Jong Won.
Last year, YG Entertainment announced that BLACKPINK would not renew their individual contracts for solo activities. Despite going their separate ways, Rosé and the other BLACKPINK members renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment for group activities.
