The film Peaky Blinders with Cillian Murphy returning as crime boss Tommy Shelby will be released on the Netflix streaming platform. This announcement was made by the official Netflix account along with uploading photos of the film script and several names involved.
The script will be written by Steven Knight (writer of Peaky Blinders and Eastern Promises ) and directed by Tom Harper (series director of Peaky Blinders and Wild Rose ). Adapting from Deadline on Wednesday June 5, 2024, production on the film Peaky Blinders is scheduled to begin at the end of this year.
Producers involved include Caryn Mandabach, Steven Knight, Cillian Murphy, and Guy Heeley. Tom Harper, David Kosse, Jamie Glazebrook, Andrew Warren, and David Mason will also contribute as executive producers. Story details are still being kept under wraps, but Steven Knight has leaked that this film will be set in World War II.
