Following in Taeyang's footsteps, Will BLACKPINK's Rose join The Black Label?

BLACKPINK's Rose is reportedly in talks to join The Black Label for individual activities under the auspices of producer Teddy. Quoting from Allkpop on Monday June 17, 2024, news media outlets reported that Rose would likely sign a contract with The Black Label agency.

Responding to this news, The Black Label said that both parties were currently in discussions. Meanwhile, The Black Label is an entertainment agency founded by producer Teddy, a former member of the 1TYM group, in 2016. 

A number of big names such as Jeon Somi, Taeyang BigBang, Zion. T, as well as actors Park Bo Gum and Lee Jong Won are also under this agency. On the other hand, Rose and producer Teddy have worked together since BLACKPINK debuted in 2016. 

Teddy is a music producer who is responsible for the members' individual musical works as well as their group's works. Last year, Rose and the three other BLACKPINK members successfully held the biggest world tour concert by a K-Pop group entitled 'Born Pink' which succeeded in attracting around 1.8 million fans worldwide.

Not only that, they overall greeted around 2.115 million fans, including an appearance at the prestigious music festival 'Coachella' which gathered around 250,000 spectators over 2 days. Plus an appearance at Hyde Park in England which attracted around 65,000 spectators.

Meanwhile, at the end of last year, YG Entertainment and BLACKPINK agreed to a joint contract but separated. They will continue to carry out BLACKPINK group activities under YG Entertainment. However, for solo activities they will do it at another agency. 

Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo have opened their own agency to manage their solo activities. Lisa founded an agency called LLOUD, while Jennie with the Odd Atelier agency, and Jisoo joined Blissoo, with the support of her sister.

Now only Rose has not decided to join or establish her own agency for her future solo activities. If Rose agrees to an exclusive contract with The Black Label, then he will continue his solo activities under the auspices of producer Teddy.
