The latest Korean drama by SBS entitled 'Good Partner' has shared a sneak peak at the character played by Nam Ji Hyun ahead of its premiere. Carrying the theme of law and the office world, 'Good Partner' tells the story of the differences in principles between senior divorce lawyer Cha Eun Kyung (played by Jang Nara), and junior lawyer Han Yu Ri (played by Nam Ji Hyun).
Interestingly, this drama was written directly by specialist divorce lawyer Choi Yu Na from the Instagram cartoon 'Marriage Red', and directed by director Kim Ga Ram who previously worked on the dramas 'Nevertheless', 'Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency', and 'Vampire Detective' .
In the preview photo released via Instagram @sbsdrama.official, Han Yu Ri is seen smiling in the interview room. As a young professional who cannot stand injustice, she often clashes with famous lawyer Cha Eun Kyung and argues with clients.
Nam Ji Hyun also revealed the reason why she finally decided to star in the drama 'Good Partner'. “The script is very entertaining. "I think the diversity of relationships between characters, as well as their different personalities and values, is very interesting," said Nam Ji Hyun as quoted from Soompi June 24, 2024.
She added, “I was impressed with how they collided, understood each other and grew. The biggest attraction was that the writer was a real divorce attorney, which made the episodes feel very vivid.” Talking about Han Yu Ri's character, Nam Ji Hyun described Han Yu Ri as very confident and brave.
Her character is very opposite to Cha Eun Kyung (Jang Nara). Han Yu Ri cannot ignore injustice, while Cha Eun Kyung puts the interests of the law firm and clients first. Initially, Han Yu Ri often clashed with Cha Eun Kyung regarding cases, but her growth through these intense moments is what made her endearing.
"I worked hard to show Yu Ri's development and realization step by step," she said. In this drama, viewers can witness the strong chemistry between Nam Ji Hyun and Jang Nara, making the storyline even more interesting to watch. Meanwhile, the drama 'Good Partner' will premiere on July 12, 2024, every Friday and Saturday at 22.00 KST.
