Marvel Studios released a new trailer for the film Deadpool & Wolverine on Monday, April 22, 2024, United States time. This trailer clarifies the conflict that the two main characters will face while introducing the villain character.
The trailer begins with Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) hanging out at a bar. He is asked out by a bartender and bumps into Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds). Wade Wilson arrives in his Deadpool costume and invites Wolverine or Logan to carry out a mission.
Those who initially feel conflicted with each other turn out to have different goals. With their respective powers, Deadpool and Wolverine begin to fight. They have the ability to heal themselves but that is the beginning of the real bet.
Emma Corrin then makes her first appearance as Cassandra Nova. She is seen cutting her hair and becoming Professor X's sister. “Men are so ridiculous,” Emma Corrin says in the trailer. He will be the villain who fights Deadpool and Wolverine.
The trailer ends with Madonna's song Like a Prayer until Deadpool and Wolverine are seen jumping into a time dimension. The film went through a long production process due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, which forced them to change its release date from May to July 2024.
Deadpool & Wolverine tells the story of the Time Variance Authority (TVA) which monitors the timeline and pulls Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) from his quiet life and makes him join a mission that will change the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) with Wolverine. Still directed by Shawn Levy, Deadpool & Wolverine will be showing in theaters starting July 26, 2024.
