SM Entertainment announced that EXO's Chanyeol will make his solo debut in August. The owner of the name Park Chanyeol is reportedly in the final preparations for his solo debut. Through EXO's social media on Saturday July 27, 2024, Chanyeol was reported to be making his solo debut in August 2024 and will hold a live tour ' Cityscape ' which will start in Seoul on September 6 and 7, 2024.

Along with the announcement, SM Entertainment also uploaded the poster for the live tour 'Cityscape', which features Chanyeol's warm visuals against a backdrop of a nighttime cityscape inspired by the tour's title. Chanyeol's popularity never waned both when he was active with his group and SC unit, Sehun and Chanyeol. 

Chanyeol also participated in several SM STATION projects and several Drama OSTs that managed to attract the attention of music fans. Fans will finally get to hear Chanyeol's striking vocals again after the release of his latest single 'Good Enough' on October 20, 2023. Chanyeol has an average of 2.3 million monthly listeners on Spotify. 

His songs 'Stay With Me (ft. Punch)' and 'Yours (ft. Raiden, LeeHi, Changmo)' have been streamed over 100 million times on the platform. According to his agency, SM Entertainment, Chanyeol is currently working hard in the final stages of preparation for his solo debut in August. Chanyeol becomes the 8th EXO member to make a solo debut.

In addition to making his solo debut, Chanyeol will also hold a live tour concert titled '2024 CHANYEOL LIVE TOUR: Cityscape' which will be held on September 6 and 7 at Mastercard Hall, Blue Square, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Ticket reservations for the live tour concert in Seoul can be made through the Interpark Ticket website. 

Pre-sale for official EXO fan club members will be held starting August 7, 2024. While general sales can be done starting August 8, 2024. Through this live tour, Chanyeol can finally greet his fans again since the solo fancon 'CHANYEOL FANCON TOUR "THE ETERNITY"' which ended in March 2024. Chanyeol successfully completed the fancon in Taipei, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Macau, Kuala Lumpur, and Jakarta.
