SHINee's Taemin will soon make a comeback with his fifth mini album " Eternal ". Reporting from Allkpop on Monday, July 29, 2024, SHINee's main dancer will release his new album on August 19, 2024.
This marks Taemin's comeback after almost 1 year since "Guilty" in October 2023 and also his first project with Big Planet Made (BPM). The logo for his new album has also been released through social media @taemin_bpm.
Like most of his solo projects, Taemin this time still uses dark colors combined with silver, resulting in a mysterious impression. The hashtag "BPM" (Big Planet Made) symbolizes a concept centered on limitless space. The font used in the logo also exudes an elegant visual that arouses curiosity.
Meanwhile, Taemin made his solo debut with SM Entertainment 10 years ago or precisely in 2014 with the mini album "Ace". Since then he has continued to release solo albums, such as "Press It" (2016) and "Move" (2017).
Where through "Move", Taemin established himself at the top of the iTunes Album charts in 12 countries. Not only that, the 31-year-old idol even won Best Dance Performance Solo at MAMA 2017 and Most Popular Artist at the Seoul Music Awards.
Next during SHINee's Hiatus in 2019, Taemin expanded his musical spectrum as a soloist with his 2nd mini album "Want", then the "Never Gonna Dance Again" series (2020) and "Advice" (2021) as a farewell before he entered the military.
Where "Advice" made him top the iTunes Top Albums chart in 41 territories and was ranked as TIME's Best K-Pop Song and Album of 2021. With all this, it is no wonder that the owner of the name Lee Taemin has more than 3 million followers on Spotify, making him the most followed BPM artist on the platform.
He is also the 3rd artist in the 2nd generation, and the 15th most followed idol overall. Furthermore, as part of the promotion of the new album "Eternal", Taemin will be holding his first World Tour titled " Ephemeral Gaze ". The concert will start in Incheon, South Korea on August 31.
The show will then continue to various cities in Asia such as Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Tokyo, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Fukuoka, Jakarta, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Manila. If your country is not included in this tour, don't worry because there are many more countries that will be announced later.
