Girl group tripleS recently held a fan concert (fan-con), where one of the members was hit by a fan thrown by an audience member. On July 6 and 7, 2024, TripleS held their fan-con concert titled 'Girls Never Stop' at Samsung Hall, Ewha Womans University, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, and met with their fans.

This was tripleS' first fan-con after forming a full group of 24 members, which attracted a lot of attention from fans. They proved their immense popularity by selling out all seats for both days. tripleS successfully completed the concert, including full group performances and individual units showcasing their unique styles.

However, an unexpected incident occurred during the encore session, where a handheld fan was suddenly thrown onto the stage. Several members who were bowing to thank the fans were shocked and avoided the thrown fan. 
The incident, which was caught on video, shows the fan narrowly missing Xinyu and Lynn, hitting Xinyu's head before falling to the floor behind them. The behavior has received attention not only in the tripleS fandom, but also on various social media and online communities. 

There have been many voices of criticism and anger from netizens. Following criticism from fans who witnessed the incident, an apology was posted on X (formerly Twitter) by the person who claimed to have thrown the fan.

“ I regret my actions. I know I shouldn’t have thrown it, but I did, and it almost hurt the members, ” the person wrote, as quoted by KBIZoom. He continued, “ Others threw slogans towards the stage, so I impulsively threw them too. I had no intention of hurting any of the members. 

I am posting an apology out of guilt. I am truly sorry to the members. ” Despite posting an apology, fans are demanding stricter action against such irresponsible behavior. Many have called for the fan to be banned from future events to ensure the safety of the idols on stage.
