BTS's Suga has been embroiled in controversy after driving an electric scooter while drunk. The BTS K-pop group member finally came to the Yongsan Police Station to fulfill the summons for questioning, on Friday August 23, 2024. According to YTN, BTS's Suga arrived at the police station around 7:45 p.m. KST.
 
He appeared semi-formal wearing a white shirt under a black suit. BTS's Suga arrived after completing his duties as a public service officer during his mandatory military service. On that occasion, BTS's Suga gave a statement to the media crew before entering the police station. 

The owner of the real name Min Yoongi showed regret and apologized for his drunk driving incident in early August 2024. "First of all, I'm very sorry. I'm really sorry for disappointing many fans and many people. I will undergo a thorough investigation. Once again, I apologize," said BTS' Suga, as reported by Koreaboo.

BTS Suga's investigation process lasted for about three hours. After leaving the police station, he apologized again and left the police station. Newsis reports that BTS' Suga is being represented by the same lawyer as former Super Junior member Kangin. 

Like Suga, Kangin was caught up in a drunk driving case. Previously on Tuesday August 6, 2024, BTS's Suga was found to have fallen after driving his electric scooter while drunk. BTS's Suga was found by police patrolling near the Nine One Hannam apartment and detected him drunk. 

After going through the examination process, it was found that his blood alcohol content was 0.227%. Higher than the percentage of 0.08% alcohol content that requires someone's driver's license to be revoked. According to HYBE's report, BTS's Suga has lost his driver's license. 

Now the rapper of the K-pop group BTS is facing a fine of 10 million won to 20 million won, or a prison sentence of two to five years. BTS Suga controversy has divided fans. Some ARMYs (the name for BTS's K-pop fans) are demanding Suga to leave the group. 

While other fans show solidarity and assure BTS that there are seven members. The rapper known by his stage name Agust D also received protest trucks urging him to leave BTS.
