Cube Entertainment has now confirmed that (G)I-DLE's Jeon Soyeon's contract will expire in November 2024 and that they were aware of the lyrics change to her solo song Is this bad b****** number? beforehand.
Through its latest release, the agency explained, "Some reports regarding Soyeon's appearance in her solo song Is this bad b****** number? are not true, and we have never made an official statement regarding the matter."
"Therefore, because one person's opinion has spread as if it were our agency's official statement, we apologize for causing concern to many people who give their love and attention to Soyeon and (G)I-DLE," they explained.
Cube Entertainment later revealed its position regarding Soyeon's solo song lyrics cut at (G)I-DLE's concert, which hinted that her contract ends in November 2024.
"We are aware of the lyrics from [Soyeon's] Is this bad b****** number? performance before," they said, adding that they are in the process of discussing a contract extension.
"Furthermore, it is true that the time period mentioned is when [Soyeon's] contract will expire, and we are currently in the process of discussing a [potential] contract renewal," he said.
