The controversy involving BTS’s Suga is heating up and starting to divide fans. Some are urging Suga to be removed from the group, while others are asking all fans to unite and support BTS. Most recently, HYBE, the agency that oversees BTS, has stepped in to handle tensions among the fandom that arose due to the DUI incident involving Suga.
According to YTN's report as reported by Koreaboo, HYBE denied the rumors that Suga would be leaving BTS. They asserted that the rumors were not true and that they were committed to keeping BTS intact. In addition, HYBE also plans to apologize and try to repair the rift within the fandom.
“The rumors about Suga leaving BTS are not true. "We apologize and will work hard to resolve conflicts between fans," said HYBE. The conflict escalated when fans started creating hashtags on social media calling for Suga to step down. Some even sent bouquets of flowers to HYBE's office with the same message.
On the other hand, fans who support Suga and the seven BTS members responded with supportive messages and pictures on social media. HYBE's statement was meant to calm the situation and reassure fans that they are taking steps to address the issue. Fans are hoping that BTS will be back with all seven members next year.
