World-class celebrity, Kim Kardashian, is back in the media spotlight, but this time because of a rather sensational incident. A man suspected of being a stalker was reported to have tried to break into Kim Kardashian's house located in Malibu, California, United States.
Citing a report from TMZ on Friday August 9, 2024, Kim Kardashian has asked a judge to issue a protective order against a man named Melvin Jeffery Conley. The man reportedly visited Kardashian's home several times last month and expressed his intention to enter the house.
Security officers were confronted by the stalker who tried to approach her home. The stalker even told security officers that he intended to jump over the fence to get into Kardashian's home. In court documents, Kardashian explained that the man, named Conley, tried hard to find her, even though the location of her home was never made public.
As a result of the incident she experienced, Kardashian admitted to experiencing severe worry, anxiety and emotional stress. The stalker reportedly claimed to be Kim Kardashian's longtime manager and claimed that he had made an appointment to meet Kardashian that day.
Fellow celebrity Emma Roberts also faced similar issues with the man. She obtained a protective order against Conley after he allegedly broke into her Los Angeles home on May 7 and 8, 2024 while Roberts was away. Emma said Conley tried to contact her on her landline and cell phone.
After seeing the missed calls, she called back and spoke to Conley directly. Emma Roberts and her 3-year-old son now have a five-year protection order that bars Conley from coming within 100 yards of their home, workplace and school.Cases of stalkers entering celebrity homes are nothing new, as they have happened many times before.
For example, last month a man was arrested for allegedly trying to contact Emma Watson. Chad Michael Busto, an American, was arrested in Oxford, England, where Watson is studying for a master's degree in creative writing. The case adds to a long list of similar incidents involving celebrities.
