SHINee's Taemin recently shared his thoughts on the show ' Road to Kingdom ' which will enter its new season. 'Road to Kingdom' is a survival program that features several boy groups competing with each other in missions every week. The new season will serve as an independent brand, highlighting rising K-pop boy groups and introducing new benefits for the winning team.

The show was originally created as a prequel to 'Kingdom: Legendary War'. Taemin will be the MC for the new season titled 'Road to Kingdom: ACE of ACE'.  The lineup includes ONEUS, CRAVITY, TEMPEST, YOUNITE, THE NEW SIX, 8TURN, and The CrewOne (a project group formed by ATBO and JUST B).

Taemin also explained the reason he decided to join the show. "I am grateful for the opportunity to be an MC so that I can help and support junior boy groups. I really appreciate them seeing me as a good senior," Taemin said as quoted by Soompi on Friday August 9, 2024.

During filming, Taemin admitted that he really enjoyed it because the atmosphere was pleasant and warm. “The atmosphere among the participating groups was very fun, and I could see that they had a lot of respect for each other, which was really nice to see. Watching their positive interactions, even in the midst of competition, was really inspiring,” he added.

Taemin also gave a sneak peek of what will be presented in the latest season of 'Road to Kingdom'. "It was very touching to see the stories of the participants and how much they care about their respective groups, which can be felt intuitively. I believe viewers will feel compelled to support them after seeing this side of the group," said the SHINee maknae.

He added, “I hope you will watch ‘Road to Kingdom: ACE of ACE’ and be patient despite my awkward delivery. I’m sure the stage prepared by the team will bring laughter and emotional moments to both of you. Please support them.” Meanwhile, the show 'Road to Kingdom: ACE of ACE' will premiere in September 2024.
