WayV has finally successfully opened their first concert tour series. Titled '2024 WayV Concert [ ON THE WAY ]'. Kun and friends held the opening concert in Nagoya, Japan, on August 17 and 18, 2024. WayV's first concert series after their debut 5 years ago, made the opening concert of 'On The Way' this time a special and emotional moment. Both for the idols and fans.
As reported by Naver on Monday August 19, 2024, WayV opened their first concert with a powerful performance of the songs 'Moonwalk', 'Turn Back Time', and 'Take off'. Followed by performances of their mainstay hits such as 'Kick Back', 'On My Youth', 'Give Me That', and 'Poppin' Love'.
WayV also presented a stage setlist of songs loved by global fans. Including the songs 'Miracle', 'Nectar', 'Domino', and 'Action Figure' with impressive stage actions. Fans were invited to dive into WayV's unique music throughout the concert. Not stopping there, WayV also gave a surprise by presenting a unit stage, through the performance of the song 'Horizon' by Kun, Ten, and Xiaojun.
As well as the song 'Rodeo' performed by the rapper duo Yangyang and Hendery. Welcoming the debut of their first mini album 'The Highest' on September 25, 2024, WayV also presented a stage of the six songs on the album. Successfully holding their first concert, WayV expressed, "We've been waiting for a long time to hold a concert.
So, we're really happy to be able to show it to you. Meeting fans in person like this makes this moment feel real, where we're really starting our concert tour. We'll remember all these moments." Meanwhile, WayV will continue their 'On The Way' concert tour in Beijing on August 21, 2024.
Before visiting Guangzhou on August 24, 2024, Wuhan on August 28, 2024, and Shanghai on August 31, 2024. Continued with appearances in Chengdu on September 2, 2024, Nanjing on September 7, 2024. Back to Kobe on September 22 and 23, 2024. And Tokyo on September 28 and 29, 2024.
Also not to be missed is the concert in Jakarta on October 5, 2024. Before appearing in Bangkok on November 2 and 3, 2024, Taipei on November 9, 2024. Continue to Hong Kong on January 4, 2025 and Macau on February 15, 2025. As well as other cities that will be announced in the future.
