Beyond Goodbye is confirmed to air on Netflix starting November 14, 2024. This Japanese romance series will star Kasumi Arimura and Kentaro Sakaguchi. News regarding the broadcast of Beyond Goodbye was conveyed via Netflix Indonesia's social media on Friday August 30, 2024.

"Japanese heartbreaking romance dramas are never-ending," tweeted the @NetflixID account on X or Twitter. "A work by Yoshikazu Okada, the Beyond Goodbye series airs on November 14, 2024, only on Netflix," the announcement continued.

Netflix also uploaded a 1 minute 10 second teaser trailer showing the plot of Beyond Goodbye. The series will tell the story of Saeko Sugawara (Kasumi Arimura) who is dating Yusuke Nakamachi (Toma Ikuta). However, one day Yusuke is struck by a tragic incident. The man was the victim of an accident that took his life. 

This incident happened on the day Yusuke proposed to Saeko. Yusuke's death also hit Saeko hard. Until one day, Saeko met Kazumasa Naruse (Kentaro Sakaguchi). The more she got to know Naruse, Saeko felt that Naruse had similarities with Yusuke. Until he realized that Naruse received a heart transplant from Yusuke a few months earlier right after his lover died. 

On the other hand, Naruse also felt the love that Yusuke had for Saeko before the man's death. Beyond Goodbye is an original story series by Yoshikazu Okada. He is the screenwriter behind many popular dramas, from Minami-kun ga Koibito (2024), Our Sister's Soulmate (2020), to the film The Last 10 Years (2022). 

This original story was then directed by director Hiroshu Kurosaki. Meanwhile, the two main actors are Kasumi Arimura and Kentaro Sakaguchi. Kasumi Arimura is an actor from famous films and dramas, starting from We Made a Beautiful Bouquet (2021) and Call Me Chihiro (2023). 

While Kentaro Sakaguchi is known in the film The Last 10 Years (2022). Beyond Goodbye also stars other famous actors, such as Toma Ikuta, Yuri Nakamura, Kanji Furutachi, Ayumi Ito, Issey Ogata, Yuki Saito, Tomokau Miura, Eita Okuno, and Yoshiko Miyazaki. Beyond Goodbye debuts on Netflix on November 14, 2024.
