The pay that top Korean actors get per episode is always a hot topic in cyberspace. Recently, an online post appeared titled, "Male Actors Who Earn 500 Million KRW Per Episode." The post revealed that Park Hyung Sik was paid 500 million won per episode for his role in JTBC's "Doctor Slump." 

Originally debuting as a member of ZE:A, Hyung Sik has gone on to become a successful actor. Over the past few years, Hyung Sik has starred in many dramas, including "The Heirs", "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon", "Happiness", "Our Blooming Youth", "Doctor Slump". 

His latest work, "Buried Hearts" is currently being broadcasted by SBS. In "Buried Hearts," Hyung Sik plays Seo Dong Ju, a genius with an extraordinary memory who seeks revenge after being betrayed. His intense acting has impressed many fans.

Hyung Sik's alleged pay of 500 million won per episode of this drama has shocked South Korean netizens. " Park Hyung Sik earns 500 million won per episode? Wow[sic!] ," wrote one netizen. " I just feel jealous[sic!] ," added another.

" This is why people dream of being celebrities[sic!] ," another said. " They must work really hard to earn that much money[sic!] ," another added. " No need to worry about celebrities' financial struggles ," another netizen continued.

On the other hand, the alleged pay of actors other than Hyung Sik was also revealed. Kim Soo Hyun reportedly earned 500 million won per episode for "One Ordinary Day" on Coupang Play. His pay dropped to around 300 million won per episode for "Queen of Tears" on tvN.

This means Soo Hyun likely earned a total of around 4 billion won from "One Ordinary Day" and 5 billion won from "Queen of Tears." Meanwhile, other big name actors also raked in big money per episode.

Park Bo Gum and IU are said to be earning 500 million won per episode for "When Life Gives You Tangerines" which is currently being released by Netflix. Next, Choi Min Sik is paid 350 million won per episode for "Big Bet" which is airing on the Disney+ channel.

Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki earns 300 million won per episode for JTBC's "Reborn Rich." Topping the list is Lee Jung Jae, who earns the highest per episode in Korea, reportedly reaching 1 billion won for Netflix's "Squid Game 2."
