NCT's Jaehyun is confirmed to enlist in November. The news came as a surprise to many fans. Ahead of his enlistment, NCT's Jaehyun wrote a message for NCTzens. According to Star News' exclusive report today, Thursday September 26, 2024, NCT's Jaehyun will begin basic military training starting November 4, 2024. 

NCT's Jaehyun will then serve as a member of the military band. SM Entertainment has confirmed Star News' report through an official statement. With that, NCT's Jaehyun becomes the second member of the K-pop group NCT to start his military service after Taeyong.

"NCT's Jaehyun applied to join the military band, and today he received a notice of acceptance from the Military Manpower Administration. Therefore, he will join the military on November 4 and fulfill his mandatory service," SM Entertainment said in a statement, as reported by Koreaboo.

Recently, NCT's Jaehyun released his first solo album "J" with the title track Roses, Dandelion, and Smoke. He is expected to complete his military service as a member of the military band on May 3, 2026. With the news of his military service coming so suddenly, NCT's Jaehyun wrote a message to his fans. 

He assured that he will finish his service in good health and thanked NCTzens for their support. "Are you all doing well? You must be surprised by the sudden news, but I will be enlisting in the military in November." "I will return in good health so I hope you all stay well and healthy while I'm gone. 

I will continue to work hard while looking back on our memories and anticipating the future that lies ahead," wrote NCT's Jaehyun, who will be enlisting in the military at the age of 27. Meanwhile, NCT's Jaehyun's first film, You Will Die in 6 Hours, will hit theaters starting in October 2024.
