Every time Sam Raimi is involved in a project, the result is always extraordinary. This time he produced the horror thriller Don't Move which is ready to air on Netflix starting October 25, 2024.

Starring Kelsey Asbille and Finn Wittrock, the film tells the story of a woman who meets a strange man in the woods who then injects her with a substance that paralyzes her body. Finn Wittrock has been consistently terrifying audiences since he played Dandy Mott in American Horror Story: Freak Show .

However, in the teaser for Don't Move, he takes his villainous role to a whole new level. The teaser trailer opens with a scene of Kelsey Asbille's character trying to crawl on the forest floor, with Finn Wittrock's character's voice also being heard, warning that soon his body will be unable to move.

Then a scene is shown where the woman sets the timer on her watch for 20 minutes—the time allotted before total paralysis occurs. Throughout the trailer, the woman tries to hide from her pursuers and even meets a police officer who she thinks can help.

In an effort to survive, she can only wait until the alarm sounds at the 20-minute mark and the clip ends. The film reportedly had a relatively small budget and finished shooting just after the start of the SAG-AFTRA strike last year. While still in production in Bulgaria, the film received temporary approval to continue shooting.

In November last year, Signature Entertainment (The Ice Road, Papillon) acquired distribution rights for the UK and Ireland, but it was only earlier this year that Netflix took over global distribution rights. The film was co-directed by Adam Schindler and Brian Netto, with a script by TJ Cimfel and David White.

Sam Raimi, who has long been known as one of Hollywood's greatest filmmakers, is producing. Sam Raimi has contributed to The Evil Dead, A Simple Plan , the Spider-Man trilogy , Drag Me to Hell, and Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. In the last 10 years, Raimi has focused more on producing.
