SM Entertainment has officially terminated their contract with Taeil. On October 16, 2024, the agency released a statement regarding the termination of their contract. "We would like to inform you that our exclusive contract with Taeil has ended as of October 15, 2024," SM Entertainment said.
"Taeil is currently under investigation by prosecutors for a criminal case. This is not only grounds for terminating our contract but also makes trust in him as an artist impossible. Therefore, both parties have agreed to terminate the contract."
