Good news for ARMYs! BTS member J-Hope has finally completed his military service and officially returned to civilian life. On October 17, 2024, after serving 18 months as a training instructor at the 36th Infantry Division in Gangwon Province, J-Hope returned with enthusiasm and gratitude.

J-Hope carries out his military service with great dedication. As a training instructor, he is responsible for training new soldiers in various physical and mental activities. He successfully completes this difficult task, showing determination and passion that is no less than his performance on stage.

Not only fans celebrated the return of the man whose full name is Jung Ho-seok, but also fellow BTS member Jin. Jin, who had previously completed his mandatory military service in June, was present to support and welcome J-Hope on his discharge day. In a warm moment, Jin held the microphone as J-Hope gave a short speech full of gratitude to fans and local residents.

"First of all, thank you very much. I completed my duty in good health. I am very grateful," J-Hope said emotionally. He also expressed his appreciation to the people of Wonju, the city where he served during his service, saying, "During my one and six months of military life, I served as an instructor, so I did a lot of parades.

Every time, I saw many Wonju residents. I want to express my gratitude to the Wonju residents who always greeted me and supported me. It was very touching." J-Hope also did not forget to convey how impressed he was with the hard work of the soldiers who protect the country every day.

"What I really felt during the past year and six months was the incredible dedication and hard work of the soldiers who protect our country. They do a lot for this nation. I feel that giving warm attention and love to those people would be very meaningful," he added.

The man born on February 18, 1994, began his journey in the military world in April 2023. He registered as an active soldier at the 36th Infantry Division Recruit Training Center and underwent five weeks of basic training. After that, he was assigned as a training instructor, a position that is not easy and requires great responsibility.

As an instructor, J-Hope was not only involved in training the soldiers physically, but also in teaching them discipline and a strong soldierly mentality. His perseverance in carrying out this task earned him recognition from his colleagues, and he quickly rose through the ranks to become an Elite Special Class Soldier.

This experience gave J-Hope a new perspective on the sacrifice and dedication required to protect the nation. After completing his military service, J-Hope is now ready to continue his career in the entertainment world. Before entering the military, he had released the Hope On The Street project, which is a documentary about his career journey as a dancer.

In addition, J-Hope also released the album Hope on the Street Vol 1, adding to his long list of successful works in the music industry. News of J-Hope’s return to civilian life has made ARMYs very excited. BTS fans all over the world have been waiting for J-Hope’s new work.

Speculations about a new music project also grew stronger after J-Hope uploaded a photo with Pharrell Williams with the caption, “P & J. Can’t wait for 2025,” which sparked various predictions about future collaborations. Two other BTS members, Jungkook and Jimin, also did not miss out on giving support to J-Hope.

Through the Weverse platform, the two congratulated J-Hope and Jin on completing their military service. "Jin*… J-Hope*… Since you guys came first, I hope everything goes smoothly and you can live happily… You guys have worked hard ," Jungkook wrote.

However, the military journey for the other BTS members is not over yet. Jungkook and Jimin themselves still have a few more months before they finish their military service. "Jimin* and I still have 238 days left," Jungkook joked on Weverse.

With J-Hope now back, ARMYs are even more excited for BTS's full reunion, which is scheduled to happen in 2025, when all members have completed their military duties. J-Hope has returned with renewed vigor, ready to face challenges and create amazing works with BTS.
