South Korean model and actor Song Jae Rim has died at the age of 39, as confirmed by local police. According to the Seoul Seongdong Police Station, Song Jae Rim was found dead at his home in the area of ​​the South Korean capital.

While conducting an inspection around the location where Song Jae Rim was found, Korean police said there was no evidence of a criminal act in the death of the Queen Woo series actor. 

“Currently, there is no evidence of a crime,” a police spokesman said, according to The Korea Herald. Song Jae Rim's cause of death has not been announced. But Song Jae Rim's funeral will be held at Yeouido St. Mary's Funeral Hall on Thursday, November 14, 2024 local time. 

Song Jae Rim made his breakthrough in the 2012 Korean drama series The Moon Embracing The Sun before appearing in several popular TV dramas, including Cool Guys, Hot Ramen, Inspiring Generation, Two Weeks, and Queen Woo.

On the big screen, Song Jae Rim also starred in the Korean films Grand Prix, The Suspect, and Bait. Song Jae Rim recently appeared on stage in the musical La Rose De Versailles , with his final stage appearance in mid-October 2024.

Song Jae Rim began his career in the public eye as a model, walking the runways for designers including Juun.J, Herin Homme and Ha Sang Beg and also appearing in Bazaar Korea, GQ Korea, Esquire Korea and Marie Claire Korea. 

His acting debut came in 2009 and although he had a series of high profile roles, Song Jae Rim also appeared in music videos for several K-pop stars including 2NE1, KARA, BOA and After School. 

In 2014, Song Jae Rim also appeared on the reality show We Got Married, which saw him perform tasks with actress Kim So Eun after they were paired together and had to pretend to be married.
