NCT's Mark Lee caused a stir when he suddenly came to the contest looking like himself

Mark Lee has successfully surprised the public with his unexpected action. The NCT member suddenly came to a look-alike contest held at Washington Square Park in New York City on Friday December 13, 2024. The day before, Mark made a post on his personal Instagram. 

Where he seemed surprised when he found a poster for this event. However, everyone who came to the event did not anticipate Mark's sudden arrival. Unexpectedly, the event had problems when the police came to investigate. According to reports, a fan took over the fine for the crowd. 

Even so, Mark still appeared at the event location with a loose guard. As a result, fans flocked to Mark and left no room for the idol. Unfortunately, the enthusiastic crowd led to an uncontrollable situation. People started pushing each other because they wanted to see Mark up close. 

This was certainly very dangerous for everyone, especially Mark who was the main target. Despite being surrounded by many people, Mark still showed his sweet smile while waving to the fans. Because the atmosphere was getting out of control, Mark finally left the event shortly after arriving. 

After the event, fans took to social media to share videos and photos of Mark being surrounded by fans in Washington Square Park. Although Mark's presence at the contest was a pleasant surprise for those in attendance, the mobbing incident left some fans feeling embarrassed. 

Nevertheless, the moment remains an unforgettable memory for those who had the chance to meet the idol in person. With the event going viral and even making national news, it shows how much influence K-Pop and its fans have on the global scene.

In the future, K-Pop fans hope that more events like this can be held more regularly and safely, so as not only to attract media attention but also to ensure the safety and comfort of all parties involved. Especially idols who might do the same thing as Mark.

Previously, a BTS' Jungkook look-alike contest was also held in Chicago, United States at the end of November. This contest also attracted quite a lot of attention from the world community. Unfortunately, Jungkook himself did not attend the event like Mark did because the singer of "Seven" was on military duty.
