Luckily at that time, I found Dark Nuns," said Song Hye Kyo in her interview with Elle Korea. Dark Nuns is a sequel to the box office film, The Priests which aired in 2015. The storyline follows the story of two nuns, Song Hye Kyo and Jeon Yeo Bin who work together to save a boy who is possessed by an evil spirit.
Song Hye Kyo plays Sister Junia, a fearless nun who is determined to save the life of a boy named Hee Joon (played by Moon Woo Jin). Meanwhile, Jeon Yeo Bin plays Sister Michaela, who initially views Sister Junia's efforts with skepticism, then cooperates through an exorcism ritual.
In the first trailer released on Thursday eDcember 12, 2024, Song Hye Kyo asks a man, "Have you ever heard of the Twelve Apparitions?" She then recites a 'mantra'. "Hey evil spirits, go away now!" Song Hye Kyo shouted, adding to fans' curiosity about her latest film.
In addition to Song Hye Kyo and Jeon Yeo Bin, there is actor Lee Jin Wook who plays Father Paolo. A priest and psychiatrist who believes Hee Joon can be saved from evil spirits with medicine. Fans can look forward to the screening of Song Hye Kyo's latest film, Dark Nuns, which will hit theaters starting January 24, 2025.
