BIGBANG Taeyang's concert in Jakarta was announced to be canceled on January 25, 2025. The concert titled TAEYANG 2025 TOUR [THE LIGHT YEAR] IN JAKARTA was announced to be canceled "due to unforeseen reasons".
iMe Indonesia as the promoter immediately announced the news on social media on Friday, January 10, 2025 and apologized for the cancellation. The refund process is also scheduled to begin on January 14, 2025.
"To the ticket holders of TAEYANG 2025 TOUR [THE LIGHT YEAR] IN JAKARTA, we regret to inform you that the TAEYANG 2025 TOUR [THE LIGHT YEAR] IN JAKARTA event, originally scheduled for January 25, 2025 at Beach City International Stadium, has been canceled due to unforeseen reasons," the promoter wrote in a statement.
"We understand your enthusiasm and anticipation for this event and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused," he added. "Refunds for ticket holders will be made through the official Tiket.com platform, by filling out the e-refund form that will be sent to your email," said the promoter.
The e-refund application is only valid for 14 days. The announcement of BIGBANG Taeyang's concert was initially announced on December 4, 2024. The TAEYANG 2025 TOUR [THE LIGHT YEAR] IN JAKARTA concert also marks the seven-year wait for fans for the musician's solo tour.
Based on the visual layout announced at the time, the concert tickets were initially divided into seven categories. VVIP is the most expensive category sold for Rp3.75 million and is located in the front tribune facing directly to the stage.
The concert schedule in Indonesia was supposed to be the opening for Taeyang's The Light Year tour series in 2025. After Indonesia, the BIGBANG member will greet fans in Thailand and China. Taeyang was also previously scheduled to leave for Malaysia and Taiwan in December 2024.
