Byeon Woo Seok immediately stole attention because of his latest upload on Instagram on Sunday December 29, 2024. Where for the first time he showed off his sweet portrait with Kim Hye Yoon after the drama they starred in, " Lovely Runner " ended.
The photo was taken when the two met at the 2024 Asia Artist Awards (AAA) on Friday December 27, 2024. Funnily enough, Woo Seok's post actually drew protests from a number of netizens. This was because Woo Seok put his photo with Hye Yoon on the 7th slide in his upload.
While in the previous slides, Woo Seok was seen showing his photo alone which appeared to be carrying several winning trophies. " Why didn't the 7th slide just be put on the first slide [sic!] ," asked a netizen. " The one who took the photo together should be on the first slide [sic!] ," another chimed in.
" Maybe he's embarrassed guys ," added another account. Through the upload, Woo Seok seemed to want to express his gratitude to all parties who contributed to his success in starring in "Lovely Runner". Of course, one of them is Hye Yoon. " Thank you ," wrote Woo Seok while adding a smiling emoji.
Meanwhile, Woo Seok and Hye Yoon won the Best Couple Award at the event. In his speech, Woo Seok expressed, "I am very grateful to Hye Yoon." While Hye Yoon responded warmly, "I am grateful to Sun Jae (Woo Seok's character) who made Sol (Hye Yoon's character) shine."
In an exclusive backstage interview with Star News, Woo Seok shared, “We worked really hard while filming ‘Lovely Runner,’ and I was so happy that many people loved the character ‘Sol-Sun Jae.’ Receiving the Best Couple Award made me feel amazing.”
He added, “Meeting Kim Hye Yoon again at an awards show felt really special.” The actor who made his debut at AAA continued, “I was nervous because it was my first time at AAA, but receiving the award made me enjoy the moment. I am very grateful. If given the chance, I want to come again.”
On the other hand, Hye Yoon revealed to Star News, “Thanks to all the love that ‘Lovely Runner’ received, I gained new experiences. From fan meetings abroad and domestically to attending AAA 2024, this year was full of new experiences. This year 2024 is a year full of gratitude and honor, making me realize once again how much love ‘Lovely Runner’ received.”
When asked about Woo Seok’s co-star, Hye Yoon warmly described the actor as “a very caring and reliable friend.” She continued, “This is our first public appearance together since ‘Lovely Runner’ ended. It’s great to reunite after the show received so much love.”
