Lee Se Young and Na In Woo were guests on the YouTube program "Vivo TV - One Car Ride" hosted by comedian Song Eun Yi on January 14, 2025. On that occasion, the affectionate gestures of the two while promoting "Motel California" sparked dating rumors.
The episode showed Eun Yi teasing, “They might be the first couple of the New Year. The Queen-like Lee Se Young and the bookish Na In Woo.” As the two left MBC headquarters, they were warmly greeted by the staff.
Seeing this, Eun Yi immediately commented, "It seems like MBC has high hopes for this drama. So many people are waving their hands, it's amazing! This feels like a drama that will kick off MBC's 2025 drama lineup." Se Young expressed her gratitude by saying, "It feels good to be loved."
At that moment, In Woo made a gesture of touching Se Young's cheek with a natural movement, which surprised Eun Yi. Se Young herself responded with a gentle smile. Next, In Woo honestly shares, “To be honest, all this attention feels a bit too much.”
However, when Eun Yi realizes how much Se Young is doted on, In Woo jokingly asks, “Does that mean you’ll like me now too?” When asked about any complaints between them during filming, In Woo and Se Young insisted there were none.
However, In Woo admitted that they had prejudices against each other at their first meeting. "There was nothing unpleasant, but we both had prejudices. We both thought the other person was cold at first," In Woo said.
Se Young then explained, "I tend to be shy, but since it was a professional setting, I tried to be polite, saying things like, 'Yes, hello.' I think it came off as curt." In Woo agreed with Se Young and said, "I feel the same way.
I'm over 30, so I tend to be serious when it comes to work. But as time goes by, I realize that I have a fun and brighter side that's starting to show more clearly." In Woo continued, "When it comes to my main job, I believe it's important to be serious.
So during our first meeting, I focused a lot on listening, and I think that made me seem cold to her." Despite their cold first impressions, In Woo and Se Young now share great on-screen chemistry in MBC's "Motel California," which airs every Friday and Saturday at 9:50 p.m. KST.
