BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Jung Ho Yeon were guest stars on the YouTube program "SELF-ON KODE" on February 5, 2025. The two chatted by exchanging messages without knowing each other's identities. There was a partition between them so they couldn't see each other.
In this episode, the two beauties immediately try to find out each other's identities. Ho Yeon mentions that she likes games and casually says, "My character was actually released in PUBG: Battlegrounds." Hearing this, Jisoo turned to the camera and whispered, “Me too.”
Upon hearing that the person was playing games while waiting at work, Jisoo guessed, “You must be an actress. Waiting that long sounds like a normal thing for an actress to do.” Ho Yeon, taken aback, quickly clarified, “Oh, but I’m not talking about the filming location.
There are other jobs in this industry where you have to wait a long time.” She explained that models also spend a lot of time waiting in between photo shoots. Ho Yeon then finds out that the person she was texting with owns her own business.
The actress guesses that the person might be K-Pop idol Jeon Somi, saying, “This person has a kind of energy that I’ve felt before.” Although Ho Yeon's guess was wrong, Jisoo found out Ho Yeon's identity after seeing one of her childhood photos at the end.
Later, when Jisoo finally revealed their identities to each other, they both screamed. "We actually exchanged text messages today!" Jisoo said. Ho Yeon said in surprise, "I didn't expect Jisoo to be here.
And she even showed up today looking like a princess. She's nothing like the Jisoo I saw at Pilates!" Jisoo talked about how they became friends. "We have a lot of mutual friends, so we always end up at the same places.
We also do Pilates together," she said. Ho Yeon then recalled the hilarious moment that led to her and Jisoo becoming besties. "BLACKPINK had a concert in LA, and I went to see it, but I was really drunk. We weren't close at the time," the actress said.
"But, I was so drunk that I started being really friendly, saying, 'Oh my gosh! Jisoo! You're amazing!' I was just having fun, full of energy, you know. After that, we started meeting up whenever we had time and naturally became friends," she concluded.
