Hwang Yunseong from the South Korean boy group DRIPPIN surprised fans. He announced his military service which will be carried out on March 24, 2025. Woollim Entertainment as the agency announced the news to the public. Yunseong will serve as an active soldier.
“Hwang Yunseong will be serving as an active duty soldier on March 24, 2025 to fulfill his duty to the country,” Woollim Entertainment said via social media. "As the ceremony was attended by family and members, no special events were held to avoid any disturbance and ensure security at the venue. We ask fans not to visit the ceremony location," he continued.
Ending the letter, the agency also hopes that fans can support Yunseong who will serve as an active soldier. “We sincerely ask for your support for Hwang Yunseong as he fulfills his military duties and returns in good condition, thank you,” the agency concluded. Hwang Yunseong became the first member of DRIPPIN to undergo mandatory military service.
He fulfilled his duty at the age of 24 while South Korean citizens are allowed to begin their military service at the age of 28. This means that Yunseong will start his military service four years from the general regulations. In addition, DRIPPIN last released a single in August 2024.
