After becoming a model for Ottogi's Jin Ramen, BTS' Jin became a trending topic in various South Korean economic media. Jin was also mentioned in the 410th session of the National Assembly of the South Korean Government, as a reason for the growth of Ramen exports .

Quoted from the Allkpop page, Sunday, September 3, 2023, on September 1, 2023, the South Korean National Assembly began its regular session. Among the various topics discussed, one important discussion revolved around the promotion of Korean ramen as a representation of national exports.

In the discussion, it was mentioned that Jin was the reason for the huge increase in Korean ramen sales overseas. An official said, “Starting from the 2020 award-winning Parasite (Jjapaguri) & BTS member Jin’s advertising model effect (Ottogi Jin model) , we are showing a significant growth trend.”

According to the Korea Customs Service, the amount of ramen exports from the beginning of this year to July was about 522 million dollars, which is an increase of 17.7 percent from the same period last year. Ottogi's revenue has increased by at least 15 percent, even as the rest of the industry struggles.

The company's sales and popularity have skyrocketed in overseas markets, thanks in large part to commercial endorsements from Jin. In early 2023, Ottogi successfully joined the 'trillion won club' (2.43 Billion USD) and was recognized as a global brand by Korean economic media.

The company was founded in 1959 but managed to surpass sales records after just a few months of collaborating with Jin. Last year, Jin Ramen's export sales reached 326.4 billion won, up 19.2 percent from the previous year.

This amount is equivalent to 10.3 percent of the total sales of 3.1833 trillion won (overseas and in Korea). In particular, Ottogi's sales at its US subsidiary increased rapidly. Thanks to Jin, Ottogi was chosen as one of Korea's Representative Brands.
