The Los Angeles fire continues to rage across the region, destroying more than 1,000 structures. Several celebrity homes were not spared, but American actor and filmmaker Tom Hanks was fortunate.
Citing TMZ, Tom Hanks' house, which consists of two buildings flanking each other, was not affected by the fire at all. Smoke from the fire began to spread but the actor's house was still standing. Hanks bought the house with his wife, Rita Wilson in 2010 and is estimated to be worth US$26 million.
Meanwhile, their son, Chet Hanks wrote a message about the Los Angeles fires that have devastated the people of Los Angeles. “The area I grew up in is burning to the ground. Praying for Palisade,” he wrote.
Apart from the house in Los Angeles, Tom Hanks also bought a house on the beach in the Malibur area in 1911.Tom Hanks' house is dominated by white and also looks safe without being hit by fire at all. This is certainly a blessing considering that many Hollywood artists have experienced less fortunate fates.
Several Hollywood celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, as well as Leighton Meester and Adam Brody have experienced incidents. More than 1,000 homes and 180,000 people were forced to evacuate the Los Angeles and Hollywood areas and beyond.
