BTS's Jin was named Gucci's new global brand ambassador. This news was conveyed by the luxury fashion house from Italy on August 7, 2024. "Jin's warm and kind personality is really interesting, and his style is really unique," said Gucci's creative director, Sabato De Sarno, as reported by Allkpop.
He added, "He is a generous and amazing artist who is able to move people with his music, which makes us even more honored to share this journey with him." Jin was seen wearing Gucci on several occasions and praised the brand as an "icon" with a legacy of old and modernity.
He continued that it is very meaningful and thrilling to be a part of the fashion house. The owner of the name Kim Seok-jin joined Gucci along with other Korean brand ambassadors, namely Hanni, Lee Jung Jae, Park Gyu Young, and Jay Park.
The brand has strengthened its latest cultural products, and the 'Gucci Cultural Month' initiative which will be launched on October 15, 2025 in Seoul. Previously, BTS's Jin carried the torch for the 2024 Paris Olympics on Sunday, July 14, 2024.
His presence was also welcomed by a crowd of cheering fans. Reporting from Yonhap News, BTS's Jin led the torch parade at the Louvre Museum, Paris, which started at around 20.00 local time. The crowd of ARMY fans, as BTS fans are familiarly called, gathered to catch a glimpse of their idol.
