Gucci, known for its luxury products and innovative designs, chose Jin as their ambassador because of his unique and charismatic charm, as well as his vast influence in the music and fashion industry. In an official statement from Gucci Creative Director, Alessandro Michele, he said, "We are thrilled to welcome Jin to the Gucci family. BTS's Jin himself has often been seen wearing Gucci clothes on several occasions and praised the brand as 'iconic'. As the new global ambassador from Gucci, BTS's Jin follows other Korean idols and celebrities such as NewJeans' Hanni, Lee Jung Jae, Park Gyu Young, and Jay Park.
Gucci will also continue to strengthen its existence in the fashion world by holding an event titled 'Gucci Cultural Month' which is scheduled for October 15, 2024 in Seoul, South Korea.
