(G)I-DLE announced their long-awaited comeback plans. On Wednesday April 9, 2025, EDaily reported that (G)I-DLE will be returning in mid-May. Miyeon, Minnie, Soyeon, Yuqi and Shuhua will greet their fans again by releasing their latest mini album.
The news of the comeback has been confirmed by CUBE Entertainment as (G)I-DLE's agency. The agency said the members are currently busy preparing various things ahead of the comeback. "(G)I-DLE will be making a comeback with a full group this May 2025.
The members are currently preparing a new album. Please look forward to it," a statement from CUBE Entertainment reported Soompi on On Wednesday April 9, 2025. However, until now there has been no more detailed information about the name or concept of (G)I-DLE's latest mini album.
Meanwhile, this will be (G)I-DLE's first comeback after 10 months ago releasing their seventh mini album titled I Sway on July 8, 2024. This will also be (G)I-DLE's first comeback after their contract renewal with CUBE Entertainment last December 2024.
(G)I-DLE debuted on May 2, 2018 through the EP I Am with Latata as its lead single. The music video for Latata managed to get more than 5.9 million views in its first week. (G)I-DLE's presence in the Korean music world has also attracted attention.
They have received praise for their high musical talent and breaking the stereotype as an idol group that is able to produce most of their own work. The songs sung by the group became hits and entered the top charts and even won prestigious awards.
